Leduc Boys & Girls Club

Leduc Country Lights would like to thank the following Sponsors for their generosity in supporting this event;

The LDFB is a community driven and supported organization that relies on community donations and volunteer support in order to provide short term assistance to an approximate population of 85,000 people. We were created so that those in the community/region in need had relief of food insecurity. We are here to work alongside with other helping agencies and to help fill a gap when needed.

Our founding member, Charles Klass started the food bank in his garage in the spring of 1981 when he saw a need during the recession of the early 80’s. The community rallied around Charles and the food bank grew as the demand on its services was recognized. The LDFB was incorporated in February of 1984 as a registered society with charitable status.

The LDFB had moved 4 times before it negotiated a rent-to-own purchase agreement July 1, 2001 and settled into its 49th Ave location. Full ownership was achieved on August 20th 2007. In 2018, this building was sold, and the food bank purchased a larger warehouse and office space.

PebWallet - in the last few years, online gambling has assumed proportions that nobody had expected at the turn of the millennium or even 10 years ago. It is now 2019 and the turnover of the entire gaming industry reached a new high of around $ 50 billion last year thanks to online casinos.

No wonder, because gamers can find varied Bingo Cafe Casino games around the clock on the Internet. These can not only be played stationary on the computer, but also on the move using a smartphone or tablet. In addition, the casino convinces with a lucrative welcome bonus and 30 free spins on registration - all amenities that players do not get in real casinos or arcades.

Kinsmen Club of Leduc - the Leduc Kinsmen are a group of male volunteers who use their experience from every walk of life to assist the organization in various fundraising efforts, in order to reinvest the funding back into the community. We currently have 25 active members.

The Kinsmen are a branch from Kin Canada. Kin Clubs are the country’s largest all Canadian service groups made up of active community volunteers. We work together to serve the communities' greatest needs by promoting service, fellowship, family values, and national pride.

A very large thank you to all the volunteers, sponsors, helpers and everyone who has come out to enjoy the lights. We love putting this on every year and hope to keep doing it as long as we can. Thank You!
